I grew up on a farm
that does this too.
I'm Eldon Yoder. I grew up on a dairy farm in Virginia that my family later turned into a pick-your-own strawberry farm with a corn maze and pumpkin patch in the fall.
Where I come from
I know what it is like to run a farm where any new fall attraction has to be worth the time, effort, and expense it takes to do it well.
Many farms looking into a corn maze are family-run places trying to make the season worthwhile and give visitors a real reason to come out. That makes sense to me because I grew up on one. If you want to see the farm I grew up on, take a look at Yoder's Farm.
Being based in Virginia also means I know this part of the world well. A lot of the farms I make the most sense for are in Virginia first, then North Carolina and nearby states.
Since 2013
I started cutting corn mazes in 2013 and have taken on more projects over the years. My goal is to do solid work, create a design that fits the field, and help farms put on a strong fall season.
Outside of the maze work, I am also a web developer. Corn Maze Design runs under the umbrella of NodleStudios LLC.
Why I do this
I enjoy the work. I get to spend time outside, meet other farmers, and watch a design take shape in a field.
I work with farms of different sizes, but I still appreciate the practical side of the business. That perspective comes from the world I grew up in, and it still shapes how I approach each project.
How I work
I keep the process straightforward. We talk about your field and what you want the maze to do for your farm. I draw up a design, and once your corn is ready, I come out and cut it. If questions come up along the way, I'm easy to reach.
